We only store and collect personal data (e. g., names and e-mail addresses) via this website if you voluntarily provide us with such data in the context of specific usage procedures (e. g., registration for our newsletter or in our alumni database including newsletter), some of which are mandatory fields (*).  

The Palucca University of Dance Dresden does not disclose the data collected within the context of the use of our website to third parties. Collected data will only be used for the stated purposes. They will not be used for any other purpose without your express consent.  

Your data will only be stored by us as long as it is necessary for the specified purpose and if there are no statutory retention periods which would prevent its deletion.

We will comply with your request immediately. Please note, however, that deletion is not possible as soon as legal provisions (e. g., statutory retention periods) prevent this.

We would like to point out that data transmission, in particular by email via the Internet is currently essentially unsecured. It cannot be entirely ruled out that transmitted data may be read and possibly even falsified by unauthorised persons.

We offer all those interested in the University the opportunity to stay informed about the latest University news by means of a newsletter. Registration for this newsletter is on an entirely voluntary basis over the University’s homepage. For this purpose, an email address is required - the provided name is used exclusively for personalising the newsletter. After the registration you will receive a confirmation email from us with which we ensure that the email address you have provided is correct. You can, of course, revoke your consent to the use of your data at any time by unsubscribing informally via e-mail (presse(at)palucca.eu). Your personal data will subsequently be deleted immediately and you will not receive any further mail.

Registration for all former students and staff can register at the University’s alumni network. Here, a firstname and lastname name as well as an email address or postal address (based on selected preferences) are required. For the electronical newsletter this data will be processed by CleverReach, headquartered in Oldenburg, Germany. Personal data of subscribers of the printed newsletter will be used to personalise the newsletter using postal shipping by the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. This information shall not be shared with third-parties.

You may unsubscribe from the electronic newsletter or revoke your consent at any time by email at alumni(at)palucca.eu. Your personal information will then be immediately deleted.  You may revoke your consent for receiving the alumni newsletter by post at any time at alumni(at)palucca.eu or over +49 (0) 351 25906-45. Your personal information will then be immediately deleted.

According to Article 77 GDPR, if you have reason to believe that the handling of your personal information is not compliant with the data protection provisions, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. The competent data protection authority is:

ACCESS INFORMATION AND HOSTING

You can visit our website without providing personal information. With every visit to a web page, the system automatically records data and information from the computer system of the requesting computer, a so-called server log profile. This serves to protect our legitimate interest in a correct presentation of our website. All personal information that is collected during the use of this website or entered into the intended forms in the online-shop are processed on these third-party servers as described below. COOKIES AND WEB ANALYSIS

In order to make your visit to our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on some pages. These serve to protect our legitimate interests in an optimised presentation of our online offers in accordance with Art. 6 (1)1 lit. f GDPR. Cookies are small text files, which are automatically stored in the user’s end device. USE OF GOOGLE (UNIVERSAL) ANALYTICS FOR WEB ANALYSIS

As far as you have given your consent according to Art. 6 (1) p.1 lit. a GDPR, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics for the purpose of website analysis. The website analysis service is a service offered by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operating under the laws of Ireland with registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses tools, such as cookies, which enables the analysis of your use of our website. This automatically collected information about your use of our website is, as a rule, transmitted to a server owned by Google in the USA and stored there. Through the activation of the IP-anonymisation on our website, the IP address is truncated within the member states of the EU or in other contract members of the European Economic Community Agreement before it is transmitted. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a server owned by Google in the USA and truncated there. The anonymised IP address from your browser that is transmitted within the scope of Google Analytics is in principle not combined with other Google data. After the purpose for using Google Analytics is fulfilled, data collected within this context is deleted.

If and when information has been transferred or stored on Google servers in the USA, the American corporation Google LLC is certified under the EU-US-Privacy Shield. Because of the agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has ascertained an appropriate level of data protection for the companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

OUR ONLINE PRESENCE ON FACEBOOK, GOOGLE, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM AND LINKEDIN

Our presence on social networks and platforms serves to provide better and active communication with our customers and interested parties. We inform others about our products and current special events.
By visiting our online presence in social media, your personal data can be automatically collected and stored for purposes of market research and advertising. So-called user profiles are created from this data using pseudonyms. This can be used for example to display advertising which supposedly interests you within and outside of the platform. To this purpose, cookies are as a rule placed on your end device. These cookies store data about the visitor’s behaviour and interests. As set out in Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, this serves the protection of overriding legitimate interest in an optimised presentation of our services and effective communication with customers and interested parties.
