ABOUT MY WORK
A career in dance, for me, means continuously engaging with the nature of learning as well as with the essence of being human. This process requires openness, communication, and above all, the willingness to embrace phases of “not knowing” with curiosity, trust, and patience.
At the center of my pedagogical work lies the intention to create spaces for participation. I understand teaching as a shared process in which students are encouraged to take responsibility, to contribute creatively, and to question critically. Transparency, shared decision-making, and respectful exchange on equal footing form the foundation of a vibrant and sustainable learning experience for me.
In my contemporary dance classes, alongside a wide range of movement techniques—such as Release Technique, Floorwork, Limón, Laban, Capoeira, or elements from urban movement cultures and martial arts—imagination and inner movement imagery play a decisive role.
Imagination expands thinking, sharpens body awareness, and fosters an individual and authentic expression in dance. Movement imagery supports conscious posture, improves alignment, and helps to overcome rigid or restrictive patterns.
As a dance educator, I see my task as passing on knowledge and experience in an artistically inspiring way—with the goal of accompanying, encouraging, and strengthening each dancer individually in their personal development.
The coming generation of young dancers often knows very clearly which path they wish to take. Their diversity, potential, and individual artistic perspectives deserve attention and space. At the same time, it is particularly important to me to preserve the passion and joy of dance—even within a demanding professional training environment.
