Yen Han

Master Dance Teacher '25

Through her studies in the Master of Dance Pedagogy program at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden, Yen Han deepened her understanding of the artistic and pedagogical principles that continue to shape her professional work. Palucca’s emphasis on creativity, individuality, and the integration of art and education remains central to her approach as she currently teaches, choreographs, and produces under the umbrella of Yen Han Ballet Productions, which unites a ballet school and a performing company. Her work is guided by a belief in the transformative power of dance as a language that connects generations, cultures, and communities.

Her teaching practice embraces a broad spectrum of students—from children as young as four to adults in their eighties—supporting both hobby and professional dancers in their artistic development. Building on this foundation, she established the Yen Han Ballet Foundation (Stiftung) to foster cultural engagement and inspire future generations through dance. In Switzerland, she plays an active role in enriching the national dance landscape through education, performance, and cultural dialogue. The Foundation is actively developing artistic projects throughout Switzerland and has recently launched its first international collaboration with the Shanghai International Arts Festival, promoting intercultural dialogue and creative exchange.

The values and methodologies cultivated during her time at Palucca continue to inform her teaching and artistic direction, shaping her ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in dance education.
